    2013 NW Camp-Inn Round UP

Just when you thought it was safe to forget about camping and turn your attention to pumpkin pie and eggnog toddies, you have one more camping task to perform before you can drift off to your winter hibernations. You need to provide input as to which dates the 2013 event should occur.

After extensive market analysis the data suggests the following:

    • As in 2012, the event should be held at Mossyrock State Park at the same group came as last year.
    • The event should be an end of summer event like it was the first year.
The question at hand is which weekend?

The weekend needs to be worked around Labor Day, September 2nd and the annual Camp-Inn Camp-Outt Pilgrimage which should be the weekend of 9/28/2013. Some candidate weekends for the 2013 NW Camp-Inn Round UP are:

    • 8/3-8/5
    • 8/9-8/11
    • 8/16-8/18
I do not know if the facility is already reserved for any particular date in 2013.

Please vote for the weekend of your choice or suggest something totally different. Remember, it is not whether or not you vote, but how many times that is important.

Thanks for getting this started! This far in advance, I don't have a preference. My vote is for taking whichever of these three is open with the park.

Hopefully as part time Washingtonians we can have a vote too. Maybe it will only count half as much, hence the multiple vote option.

We are hoping to make an extended trip to CICO10 so would prefer the earliest of the three choices. I'm sure we could work with any tho.

I would prefer 16-18 August. We have plans for the other two weekends.

Can summer be filling up already and it is only November? Starting to look that way! Boy, and I thought Christmas came early this year!

I am still trying to work out how I am gong to get to CICO. Maybe Mick and Laddy can fly out? Hmmmm...need to work on this!

By the by, anyone who wants to come, Camp-Inn or not, has a say. All are welcome! Please join us!

Thanks so much for getting us started on the planning!

Ooooo, that sounds like fun. Jim and I plan to hit Canada (Eh) next fall and will be heading in that direction. You guys settle on a date and hopefully we can work it into our trip.

I am sure that we would like to attend. We don't have a preference on dates. Thanks Dave & Dixie

I'm there, just say when and where. Might check on the campsite as it's still in "Camping Season" and they might not want to tie it up all weekend during the "On Season"...

I'll be wandering around and am planning on the CICO whenever it is.. fun...

It wouldn't be a Round-Up without Uncle Frank and his crazy science experiments! Yeah! :)

We absolutely have to have Uncle Frank attend; we are planning on having a BKT free zone just for him.

Heheh, Oh Mann... Uncle Frank is going to have to get busy trying to find something of interest...
    LOL.. working on it...

While planning for the Trans-Canada Highway Worlds longest "National Highway" in the World's 2nd largest country... (surprised at that one)

Thanks, Steve for getting this started. Because we'll be planning a trip in August/September first to Alaska, then back to Wisconsin for the CICO, our preference would be: first wknd - for sure, second wknd - probably, third wknd - can't commit until we work out the "big trip"

Be careful with those paper balloons that time of year in that area. I watched one go straight into a tree just down the road in Packwood this past August. It was a warm evening and the balloon didn't get enough lift. Luckily the tree didn't go up in flames.

Yah, that would be my concern, but many ways to skin a cat.. other fun things to do I'm sure...

Based on the input received, I am going to make the weekend of 8/16 through the 8/18th the official preliminary date of this year’s event. It is critical that Ms Sarah Sunshine and her family be present and as she indicated the other two dates are booked. So by the process of deduction, the last weekend of the three has got to be weekend. I will submit the paperwork to secure the dates and if we have to change things, I don’t see that it will be too difficult.

    Y’all come, ya hear!

Ah, shucks! Thanks! :) I will put it on the calendar!

Hope others are able to make it too! And being August, I will be able to bring some sun with (aka that glowing orb in the sky we are blessed to see today after the last 5 days of rain...bailing the chickens out today...man, we need to figure some drainage out in their coop, otherwise, they are liable to start growing webs on their feet!)

Can't wait to see everyone again!

Sounds great, Steve. We'll be there for sure... hopefully... :)

Evan, I understand the hopefully; if you can't make it, please send Lena and Katie. It will be great to see everyone again and perhaps many new faces.

I cannot submit the reservation request until 1/1/2013. The prices are the same as last year. I intend to add Thursday the 15th for those who want to come in early. The format will be three days like last year.

Based on some of the comments elsewhere in the forum, I think Uncle Frank better bring his blenders this year.

    Blenders....blenders.....blenders [chants Sarah Sunshine]

What? Once the kids are asleep I am happy to party! Is Matha bringing her jello shots again? Woohoo!

You guys are definitely giving me incentive to get better faster! I have been dreaming of camping (being sick is so boring, you have to do something to keep your sanity!).

heheh... after hearing disappointment from last year and in the "Spirits" of Competition or for more Variety from 'Ms Mar's Marvelously Mellow Jello Shots' (MMMMJS?) Deadly I might add, do not worry, the blender, Ms Carmen, will be there. No power so limited to just the single battery one, but believe it will handle the Call to Duty.. heheh... fun
once the kiddies are in bed or in a Roped off area??
