    Announcement The Check Is...almost In!

Ask and you shall receive! That is fantastic. We thought about Capital Reef and have heard wonderful things, but the schedule was packed. You folks in Utah are lucky with such beautiful National Parks! So much to see and do there!

    Southwest Adventure

6/28 (Sat) - knowing things were going to get crazy on Sunday with celebration, we headed into the Valley on Saturday. Our first stop was the parking lot and then the Visitor's center. We had a quick look around before taking the shuttle up to the Nature Center for a Jr. Ranger walk, which was...

    Announcement The Check Is...almost In!

I am currently writing about my trip through the Southwest in the Adventure section of the forum. Will work on part 2 right now! We mostly passed through SLC, but spent 3.5 days in Moab, and also visited Zion. We are home now after being on the road for 3 weeks!

    Southwest Adventure

Thank you Alan and Susan for all of your thoughts while we were traveling. I really appreciate them! I am sure it helped on a couple of my more challenging days. Diane, thanks! We are a younger 3 people with a teardrop so our adventures are a little different than most. We are about 20 years...

    Southwest Adventure

So, the trip went like this: 6/21 (Sat) - We decided on a late start as we were just driving to Valley of the Rogue State Park in Southern Oregon. It was about 4.5 hours away from PDX. We wanted the extra time with Mick since he had been away in the week and had returned Friday night. Got to...

    Southwest Adventure

Hi All! The Lad and I just got back from our big adventure with Lena and Katie. We left them on Saturday morning, bright and early, and high-tailed it north to get back to Mick (and cooler temps) with a quick overnight in Boise. I will write more about it later after I finish a hundred tons...

    Olympic North West 5 Weeks

Pat, Hate to put a damper on things. Rain is expected tonight for us, so you will probably see some later tonight. It is supposed to pass though, and be dry until Tuesday, getting up in the 80s. That could all change because our weather guys get it right about 40% of the time in the spring...

    Olympic North West 5 Weeks

I saw the new vents on Snugglebug at NWRU. Might look into that after our trip. No time right now! We are fully in T-minus mode! Now if Mick would hurry up and get back from Israel! He is on a flight right now, so home tomorrow. We should get a solid 12 hours with him before we leave (that is...

    The "Dew Drop Inn" Chronicles

You should ask them if they "actually drive that thing or if it is just a toy." :) PS-I think Smart cars are cute and a blast to drive. Test drove one years ago!

Side Tent Side Tent...with Roof Racks

These are the roof racks on the trailer, not on the tow vehicle. At least that is how I understand it.

    Stella moves base camp

Glad to hear a Canyonlands is a good stop. We will be staying there in a couple of weeks. I don't have AC so hopefully our fan will do a good enough job for us. Fingers crossed. I also asked for a spot in the shade and have 2 alcoves that I have the ability to use, so we'll see. Thanks for the...

    The "Dew Drop Inn" Chronicles

I also like the response of, "no silly, this is my miniature horse trailer. You should SEE my miniature horses! They love it in there!" I think the most common question I get is if it is a tiny Airstream. I usually just reply with a simple, "Nope, better!"

    The "Dew Drop Inn" Chronicles

It happens more often with cars with a wider wheel base. Trucks/SUVs pulling our trailers will kick up water at a different spot than the narrower/smaller cars. Pulling with my truck now, we sometimes have the problem. We had it pulling the trailer home after pick up with my dad's truck. When I...

    The "Dew Drop Inn" Chronicles

Hey look! They tape the bottom of their windows just like I do! :) (I tape mine for rain though.)

Furnace Propane Furnace For 550 Ultra

Totally get that! You have other things I don't that would fill the same need. You gotta use what works for you! That is the beauty of individuality.

Furnace Propane Furnace For 550 Ultra

Jenn, your twig stove was a BioLite. I know that because I saw yours and fell in love. You can charge cell phones and other devices through the USB port on the device. Super slick. Best steak ever using the grill attachment too.

Furnace Propane Furnace For 550 Ultra

I use a biomass stove for cooking. I use the BioLite stove. I have a review on my blog about it and also one for the grill. We love it and I seldom use the cast iron grill I carry ( I carry it for the griddle on the other side)...

    SUV Off-Road Suv Option

I have the SUV height, but we have 2 trucks, so we needed it. My first tow vehicle was a sports wagon, so we switched the hitch and no problem. I like having the extra height because I can get in and out of the cabin easier. I am a little more than 5'5, but I appreciate it. The counter height...

    Roof-mounted Solar Shower

I was thinking about that. When I fill it up I am going to leave a little room so I can throw in some colder water to mix and make a little cooler. I can reach up where the gasket is and feel the water before we spray it. I have a second alcove too, so that is a good point that it could help...
