    Hitch Care

Your welcome, Evan. Folks, please don't do it the red neck way which will remove the grease and look tacky too. Just spend the $3.00 and buy a plastic ball cover that will keep the grease on the ball. Hilditch

    The Camp-Inn advantage

#61. It is booked up for 2012 through April 23rd, the day we will head out for Ft. Desoto. Hilditch

    Hitch Care

The ball on your trailer hitch is not supposed to be used dry & shiny. Spread a finger full of auto grease on the ball and it will work its way around the receiver on the trailer where needed. Add more grease as required if the ball looks dry. It will get very dirty/black. Hitch shops sell...

    Woody Update

Thank you for the laugh aj. I knew you could find the info. I don't have any full pics of the tear as it is now posted here. Some partial pics can be found in my custom additions posts. Our tear does not look near as good as a new one because we did have to refinish it by hand, and could not...

    Woody Update

Folks, I used NuFinish on my truck, motorcycle & tear before switching to Woody. It goes on easy, comes off easy and looks great. It will last 29 days or 100 miles in the rain; whichever comes first. It did not keep the tear from staining. Hilditch

    Woody Update

Since my posts about Woody Wax last June in the Patina & Walbernizing thread, our tear has been towed another 5774 miles and slept in another 42 nights. Half of those nights were spent next to the ocean or the gulf in baking hot weather with too much salt spray. I'm happy to report the tear...

    The Camp-Inn advantage

On our way South we stopped for the night at Ft. Pierce KOA. Due to our rig, the owner gave us his Presidential Sweet Spot for the night. Not only did it have a brick patio, it had a tree and shade. No big deal until you know that this is the ONLY tree and the only shade in the campground...

Air Conditioner The Scoop On 550 Ac

Yes Sir! The tear has now paid for itself in travel savings plus enough change left over to cover the gas for that 3,000 ride - which cost more than our camping fees for the month. :-( However, our rig created about 5 smiles and a grin per mile. Well worth it. Hilditch

    Hilditch

All was cool George, thanks. No problem at home and the weather for us was in the high 80's with a 10 mph breeze. No rain and partly cloudy at the beach. Hilditch

    Side Table Dance

Old: Remove cooler. Unhook side table, turn it up-side down, balance on knee while shortening leg with both hands while you wipe off foot with your third hand. New: Remove cooler. With table still attached, push button on leg. Again. Again. Gravity keeps shortening the leg until it is...

    Inquiry Southeastern Us ?

Back on track. We have made our reservations in the mountain top Cheaha campground for July 13 - 17th. Y'all are welcome to join in. This hunt & peck tablet sucks. Hilditch

    Ideal Tow Vehicle

The RAV4 fits my specs above quite well. We are finding the importance of the cubic feet cargo area when packing for month long trips. FYI: Tear weight wet & loaded - 1,545 lbs. (Used to be 1,500 - more stuff.) Us, tongue weight, stuff in car- 1,020 lbs. (tongue weight 155 lbs.)...

    Mattress, poles and battery

Scissors. If you want a mattress topper and your big feet create an issue, cut it out. Hopefully your feet don't need memory foam. Case closed. More babble. Hilditch

    Ideal Tow Vehicle

There may be a difference between the North and the South. My 2.7 L Tacoma with a 3,500 # load rating has pulled well for 15,000 miles. However, it will break a sweat going uphill at 70 mph with the AC on when it's 80 + degrees out. Downshifting & turning off the AC are sometimes required...

    Update T-minus 1 Week.....

Ahh, T-minus 1 week until our rig heads for Key West. Our Camp-Inn pay for itself/break even trip by saving us $100 a night. Now we can work on the *@#$ Ford! Sorry folks for this useless babble. Hilditch

Trying to find a way to bring the Harley along.

    A. Ride the bike. B. A 16' x 8' toybox for both to ride in. C. I've seen a class A with a big bike on the back hydraulic lift towing a trailer. The owner of the N.O. KOA has one. Hilditch
