Nights 54-102 part 2 10/1 day 18 129 mi continued After our shower we headed to Vail. Very cute and expensive, not our cup of tea but glad we stopped. Drove up Glenwood canyon which was very picturesque. Made it to Rifle Colorado where we had relatives. 10/2 day 19 0m Explored Rifle...

    Nights 54-102

September 14 heading out on a trip to Austin for Pegs daughters birthday. The idea is to go from a mere 53 nights since buying our tear to 100 plus. This would give us more than one of every two nights since buying "The Silver Pullit" on the road with it. Here is a link to the pictures...

    New Mexico Suggestions

One other thing about the AllStays app, we found it very helpful to "preload" maps anytime we had wifi, saves on data and works when you don't have a cellular connection.

    New Mexico Suggestions

There are a few campgrounds north of Santa Fe that are nice. There was one near Jemez Springs (route 4)that was very cute, only about 17 sites and full when we went by. That campground is still pretty low elevation but as you head into the hills from there you gain elevation fairly fast. We...

    Cross country travel guides

Mick and Sarah, Peg and I before our first trip (60) nights requested through the internet state highway maps for all states we thought we might be going through. We then bought an Rand McNally atlas and downloaded the app AllStays. We also got the books "Americas most scenic byways" and "Off...

    WANTED Wanted

Have you found your 560? We live in Cd'A and have a 550. Spent 102 nights in it our first partial year, hopefully we will do more this year now that we are "seasoned". There are not too many CampInns in the area, nice to have you joining the family. If you are traveling in yours and see Idaho...

All stays Camp & RV app

Peg and I are die hard AllStays app users. We tried books but find this app to be wonderful. One comment on the "graph paper" look if you do not have a wifi or cell connection. You can "preload" maps and info by scroll down the road you want to take while you do have a connection. The app...

    Winterize Video on YouTube

I would love to see a video on how to adjust the brakes including the parking brake. Great ideas on the videos, great timing on the winterizing. Thank you!

    Solar Hookup Solar Hookup Questions

I bought a 30w MicroSolar panel from Amazon for $80 and has a controller which plugs directly into any 12v plug on our tear. If it is sunny out it keeps the battery topped up just fine. It is compact and thin enough to store easily. Love the ease of use.

Under Counter Trays Extra Deep By Popular Demand

Love the idea of the trays. Is there an easy way to lift them up? From the pictures I cannot see any straps or finger groves. Thanks.

    Transit Stowing of Table Extension

We have an early model extension which does not "lock" in place. A bump to the outside of the table can bring the whole table down as it will slide the extension out of the bracket. (I understand this has been solved in newer extensions). Today I made a simple oak lock. It is just a small piece...

    Transit Stowing of Table Extension

Are you going to stop by and see us in Coeur d'Alene? We leave Monday morning for about 50 nights in "The Silver Pullit". Love to see you before we go. You have my phone number.

    Dometic, Yeti, or both?

I do have the Yamaha racks. Interesting thought about carrying or mounting them on top.

    Transit Stowing of Table Extension

Frank, We went on a two week trip with Pegs sister and brother in law. They have an RV and almost always stay in commercial campgrounds. We showed them the pleasure of dry camping. Now they want to follow us anywhere. Except for the devastation from the pine bark beetles, the mosquitos, the...

    Dometic, Yeti, or both?

I do have the plugs (thank you) but when I search for solar panels that plug into a 12v socket I can only find 30w and under. I don't think that is enough juice to make it worthwhile. I also have limited gear space in the Audi to carry large panels even if I could find them. I have found that I...

    Dometic, Yeti, or both?

Thank you for explaining the difference. I love the educational aspects of this forum. Battery life is always on my mind though we only run the Igloo in the TV when driving or for short stops so will live with it for now. Maybe Santa will somehow get a Dometic down our chimney.

    Hello from Austin, TX

Welcome to the CampInn family. We will be heading for Austin in 9 more days. Our plan is to take a month to get there and 2-3 weeks to get back. Hope it is not as hot there as the 104 you are reporting. Happy travels!

    Internet access while traveling?

I know you have a "dumb" phone but wanted to share what works for us. I am on Verizon and Peg on AT&T. We have found that in the last 20,000 miles of traveling that AT&T has the best coverage away from the cities where we spend most of out time. In the car we are constantly usng our AllStays app...

    Dometic, Yeti, or both?

What to do with coolers seems to be a hot topic. I had a 40 quart 12v Igloo cooler that I bought as an option for my old Subaru Outback. Sold the car, kept the cooler. When we ordered our Campinn I was hoping it would fit. It does not. We got the Coleman cooler and keep the Igloo in the TV. Even...
