I put small velcro strips 1 1/2" x 1/2" (I used clear velcro) to the galley wall above the cooler and corresponding strips on the extension. I sits across the cooler walls. Simple and does not affect anything else. It's always handy if I want to use it and never in the way.

I have found that about one gallon per person per day works. I do use paper plates so don't have to wash them but do wash everything else. Wipe everything with a paper towel first.

We found a metal strainer at WalMart for about a buck and a half. Lays over the drain very flat with a couple things on the bottom to bend out and put in the drain. We do not use those tabs and have had no problems.
