Re: 1st Waffles with the new iron Hope your test proves negative, now for the portant part. FYI, I have had my irons about 4 years, and the harshest thing they have seen is hot water and maybe a stiff nylon scrub brush, and those not very often. not counting my waffles that is. LOL...

Nice pieces Ken. Both make some very delicious dishes. I have a similar waffle iron, and absolutely love the waffles. Haven't picked up the Ableskiver yet.

OK for you all that are using the 6 inch, 1quart DO, cut everything in the main recipe in half, except the can of pie filling. so it will read 1/2, 1/2, 1/2 flour, milk, sugar. Oh yeah,I upt the temp to 400 deg. also. You might want to use that temp for the big pie as well...

After watching the video, a box popped up and there was a video demo or docu on "sharkshide" for those of you that are curious about that stuff.

Hey just had a thought, no comments please, If when you make the loaf you roll it to say about 2 inches in diameter, then when you want a dinner roll, slice off a piece of the frozen roll, and use the 6" oven to bake the rolls 3 will fit in the 6" Lodge. There ya go Jenn.

I froze it after the 1st rise. The dough has been frozen for 3 days, and I used one today. It rose nicely, very slowly though, recomend it be placed in a dutch oven with the lid on and sitting in the sun. That should speed up the rise. When the dough has thawed, as long as it is kept cold, it...
