Yes reading the calendar and weather year to year anything can happen. We usually try to get out at spring break . Best spring trips were hill country Texas, Port Aransas Texas, Tucumcari New Mexico and Tucson, Arizona.
We have a small electric heater for in the tear when needed. We have used it in the NB in the evening when in the 40’s with the sides down on 3 sides. Worked well.

We had that problem last year in Washington (State) we were told that our tank was too old to fill. I emailed Cary this spring and he said that is not the case that all the tanks they have used have the correct valves. We will try getting ours filled soon for our summer trip.

Update: we traveled from Minnesota to Washington, Glacier many places in between and back to Minnesota and the rod kept our packing bags in place, made them easily accessed and provided a place to hang multiple items as needed. Loved it.
Randy thanks for the info on this we got one and are particularly interested in being able to monitor our car battery when we leave the domestic in the car.
We have the open shelf in our 550 and it works well for us but sometimes we find our packing bags fall onto bed - nat a big problem.
This year I found an extension rod like you use in a shower that seems very helpful and nice looking and no screws. And also "s" hooks that are great for hanging...
