We did not get awning poles with ours but have since bought some - have not used them yet. We have the floor we have only used it once when the campground was very muddy. It worked well. We just packed the muddy thing up in a plastic bag and hosed it off at home. We keep it in one of the bins...

Frank and Sarah yes I was not clear that we are staying 2 nights at Cape Perpetua. Sarah thanks for the suggestions I will check them out.

wanting a place near the coast between Cape Perpetua and Harris any body have some thoughts? So far 3 KOA's to get to the Columbia George Timberlake, Deception Pass, Salt Creek, Birch Bay, Colonial Creek, Wanatchee, Timberlake, Fort Steven, Cape Lookout, Cape Perpetua.

Can't believe the sink stopper story - sure evidence that you missed something in the Camp-Inn walk through with Cary - I can just hear him laughing and scratching his head over this one. Probably a meeting of the big 3: Craig, Marty and Cary having a hoot. No one will ever miss their sink...

Wonderful - I love natures surprise visits. It is still snowing and cold here but I had a visit from a male pileated woodpecker on our deck this morning does not match camping but was a sweet event.

Pat we have a 550 with out a sun roof but stayed in a 560 with a sunroof when having work done on our tear. I personally prefer the greater outdoors during the day, stars by the campfire and a quiet dark cocoon at night in our Suite Retreat.

Dave and Linda that does sound exciting but we have vacationed all over Canada many times over 30 years. I have a nephew In Victoria and lots more Canadian relatives in Winnipeg. We have been as far north as Churchill and as Far East as Newfoundland. So now we are concentrating on the USA.

Thanks we are getting pretty excited about our trip. But winter just will not let go in Minnesota 40 today but then down to the 20's for next week.

Nice site on the pass and the campground looks good. Other than keeping a clean camp site any thoughts about bears. We cannot hike so mostly driving and sitting around campsite.

I will look up the campground you mentioned. I have been trying to make reservations per recommendations of folks in WA. But that campground sounds more like what we would want. I have read a bit on the web about the institute and if I can negotiate it on my scooter we will sure do it.

Dave and Linda thanks for the info. I made reservations in Newhalem but have not gotten a confirmation. We will be there the end of June. It is a little hard planning as AAA and Google will not let me route through the pass. I guess because it is closed right now. Also waiting on confirmation...

Vanessa it would be fun to see some close ups of the organization of the bins, shelves and cupboard.

Great ideas and I like the square canisters to - I always wonder why there are so many round ones when cupboards are square.
