The Last of the Mohicans movie was primarily shot at Chimney Rock State Park and Lake James in Western NC. They had a difficult time time with the jet contrails as the CLT arrivals go right over that area. We have attended Easter Sunrise Services at Chimney Rock and it was cold!

The brake controller does have a good drain on the battery. I just remove the fuse on the bottom of the brake controller when in storage. My parasite drain is down to 1 % with the brake controller disabled.

Bla Black Mountain is not to be missed. We have stayed at Mama Gerties Campground nearby. The sites at the top of the mountain are magical in the morning when the fog sets in the valleys with only the peaks of the mountains seen. There is a cool Motorcycle Museum in nearby Maggie Valley...

When we lived 1 hr south of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Hickory NC we used to camp at Julian Price on the Parkway. We enjoyed Craggy Gardens near Asheville also. Scenes from the movie Green Mile we’re filmed at the Cone Mansion near Blowing Rock.
