Made it home. 3727.6 miles Hot Springs, AR to Anderson, SC was 691 today. Next trip is Labor Day weekend for the NASCAR race in Darlington, SC.

Made it to Hot Springs. I’m glad they do reservations online for Gulpha Gorge campground. Right behind our campsite is a mini waterfall. Long day tomorrow including Atlanta, but we’ll be home.

That has been our experience too. Been a while since I got hit up like that at a gas station. The first was in his work and when he stopped I wondered if I had done something wrong pulling around to the pump.

Made it to Foss State Park in Oklahoma. Beautiful drive & I feel like I’m home. 98, humidity like crazy & the grass is Bermuda in the campground. Nice campsite.

Last day in New Mexico. Went over see Taos Pueblo which was really interesting to see with this being a Pueblo community with people still living in it. Tomorrow, we begin the slog home. Camping at Foss State Park in Oklahoma tomorrow night.

Did a little hiking this morning on the Columbine Creek Trail. And found a delicious breakfast burrito at Shotgun Willie’s.

Hope everyone has had a nice Independence Day. We did the parade in Red River, NM which was a lot of fun. The place we are staying in here grilled hot dogs for everyone.

Went to Santa Fe & ate great food & bought from the Native Americans who sell their jewelry & other stuff in the Plaza there. I got a belt buckle & Mary Ellen got two bracelets & a necklace. Move north to Red River tomorrow.

Went up to Bandalier National Monument today. Did a little hiking. Elevation is a killer. Nice place.

Made it to Cochiti Campground near Santa Fe, NM. Nice campground. Nice temps too. Upper 60s & breezy too. We won’t see this until October back home. 3 nights here so the big drives are done until we head for home.
