There is no way of submitting the following recommendation without the recipients of the gift not knowing, so here goes.

Two out of the last three visits I’ve made to Necedah, Craig has shared how he would like have a license plate from all fifty states to mount in the showroom of the factory. So, I submit to you his wish.

Being that this is Craig and Betsey’s swansong for organizing the Camp-Inn Camp-Outt, I ask that we band together to grant Craig this wish. I encourage each participant, of the 2023 Camp-Inn Camp-Outt, to bring a license plate from their home state and scribe on the back of it, in marker or typed on paper taped to the back, what Mr. & Mrs. Edevold, Mr. & Mrs. Winch, and the Camp-Inn family have meant to you and/or how Camp-Inn has made a difference to your outdoor experience. Then present your gift to the couples yourself and thank them as only you know how for all that they have done.

Thus far I have gifted Craig with a Washington plate as well as Minnesota but, that doesn’t mean that the factory couldn’t have doubles or triples of a plate. On the back of the plates, using an indelible marker, I wrote what Camp-Inn has meant to me.

Please consider this request and share your loving sentiment with some beautiful people.

    Walk in Beauty,

    BEAR

    Important Update!!

We have discovered a "glitch" in the registration process that occurred around June 17. It is now fixed. If you registered on or after June 17 and your name is not on the list above, we did not receive your registration. Please resubmit your registration so we can add you to the list.

    Thanks!

For anyone arriving early (prior to Wednesday, Sept 27th), the map on the CICO website has been updated to reflect the sites that will be used for the gathering canopy, registration and campfire - #25o, 163 and 164 (highlighted in aqua on the map). Please do not set up in these sites. :)

Sorry you weren't able to make it Kevin, you missed one of the nicer weather weekends we've had for a CICO. Staying in a different area of the campground had it's ups and downs, but all in all the positives outweighed the negatives. After seeing the changes made in the old beloved area A campground we all grew to love, I personally think that if non factory sponsored events continue going forward, that the area B campground should be where it happens. Area A may be great in another decade or so when all the vegetation removed has a chance to recover, but until then area B still retains some of the character we were used to. Despite being without some of their key support staff for CICO, Betsey & Craig were able to pull off their usual great event, minus the cast iron cooking demo.
It was again fun to put some faces to the names we all see so often on the forum, including our moderator Ken, Van of Van & Terri fame, and of course Dilbert... I mean Sweeney... I mean Jerry! oh well you know what I mean.
Newcomer Judy who now owns Jerry & Susans first 560 had more than her share of tough luck on her way here from Louisiana, with an impromptu uncoupling of her raindrop from her Toyota SUV early in her adventure north, not to mention her complete lack of orientation to the trailer by it's previous owner. Fortunately a good Samaritan helped her get the now damaged CI hooked back onto the TV, but the third party 7 pin hitch wiring connector installer didn't do her any favors when they asked for extra money for hooking up the back up lights, but didn't install a charge wire, leaving her with a new but dead battery by the time she arrived at CICO. Luckily Sweeney took several hours out of his day to give her the orientation that she should have received from the person Sweeney sold it to. So she was able to enjoy CICO, and has an appointment at the home base to correct all the deficiencies before her trek back to the deep south.
So, the 20th, and last factory sponsored CICO will end tomorrow morning with the renewal (if only for one year)of the famous freezer bag omelettes!
Something that was sorely missed the last few years.
Thanks again Camp-Inn crew for a great time, and hopefully some iteration of it will continue going forward.

It was a team effort :) --- I really wanted @Good Juju to have a great first experience. The people who had helped her (beyond the seller) did a really poor job...2 trips to get the trailer wired, wrong battery sizes etc...giving a good weekend is the least that we could have done....

CampInn has built more than a business --- they've really built a community, and I firmly believe that the good work they do is just a foundation for us to carry forward as we travel throughout this amazing planet.
