Stove What Is Your Pellet Stove?

I'm figuring on a new camping pellet stove in the next few years. Leaning heavily to a pellet stove as the fuel cost and ease of use is very good compared to fuelwood here.
So, what brand pellet stove do you have? How happy are you with it? Would you get that brand again or a different brand?
    Thanks for your help!

So far, I've owned 2 in my life. In the 2000's I owned a Quadrafire for about 4 years. We moved, and in the new home had a log burner. Good firewood was harder to find, and getting expensive, equal too or more expensive than pellets. PLUS you needed to move and stack it. I received a company bonus and bought a Harman insert to replace the log burner.

I am using the stove as supplementary heat to a gas furnace. Log burning produces more heat, but requires maintenance every couple days, is messy with dust, dirt, leaves, and such being moved around the house...plus a lot more stink bugs.

Last year was our second year with the Harman. Normally we burn when we're home and awake, and we use just shy of a ton per year. I keep the living room warm with it, and the thermostat set at a lower temperature since most of our time is in the living room. Our gas usage is lower.

The big difference between the Harman and Quaddrafire is the pellet feed mechanism. Both produce the same heat.

Harmon feeds into the burn pot from the bottom, the ash falls into a bin. Easy to care for. The quad we owned was a top feed. So a clinker had to be removed daily, and it was a pain to clean. The bottom feed doesn't have the constant sound of pellets dropping.

The Harman was bloody expensive, but I'm very happy with it. Will I get my money out of it? I doubt it --- BUT --- its prettier, just as warm, less maintenance, and quieter.

Pellet fuel are easy to find. Tractor Supply is the cheapest around here. I bought two tons this year, so next year will be "cheap heat" I just wanted a buffer of extra fuel.

As a side note, a solo stove makes a pellet adapter. A bag of fuel will do two 2-hour burns. But you can't "add" fuel so when the flames die, you've got to wait til morning to 'start over' Only downside. I've talked about this elsewhere.

Do you have specific questions you are trying to get an answer too?

I've had my keebon camping pellet stove for a year now, and I'm still just as impressed as the day I got it. It heats up my tent quickly and evenly, even in cold weather. It's easy to use and clean, and the pellets are affordable and easy to find. I'd definitely recommend keebon to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient camping pellet stove.
