    Hello!

We are considering the teardrop lifestyle and after perusing this site for a while we realized the wealth of information here so officially registered!!

From what we've seen, we are impressed with Camp-Inn trailers and they could be a good fit for our camping lifestyle. Does anyone live in the Cincinnati area (or passing through Cincinnati) so we could get a tour in person? We'd be open to meeting at a campsite, our house, etc.

Welcome! Contact Campinn and they will give you contact information of someone in your area who is willing to give you a tour. Almost 1100 teardrops have been built by Campinn.

Hi Corbin, welcome to the fun :D

There is a club called the "Tearjerkers" --- We are a miscreant group of teardrop owners from across the country, and probably the world, that own teardrops. Everything from home built trailers to CampInn's. A few have "upgraded" to full size trailers...but we still let them in :).

Every two years, there is a large gathering of teardrops call the "Crossroads of America" sponsored by the Hoosier Chapter. It just so happens that it is this weekend.

The jerkers start showing up a few days in advance. Saturday is your best bet to see the entire group. Usually, there are a couple of Campinn's represented. I don't know about this year, CampInn factory is sometimes there...we're kind of an informal group.

The park admission is cheap, and you can get back to the sites with a short walk. The details are in the web link below.

You may...just may...see a 560 Ultra there in site 221. The owners like to talk, and the dog is friendly; you just have to be introduced properly and slowly.

Thank you Sweeney for the intel!

If someone were to happen to pass by 221 during the evening around dinner time of Friday (Sep 15th), what would you estimate on the chances of having a 560 Ultra sighting? Of course I’m asking for a friend. Oh, said friends said they’d make dinner for site group with an ulterior motive to test out the stove (if anyone is up for Cowboy Kent’s “NOT from the can” sloppy Joe’s).

    Cheers!

LOL --- pretty darned good. If we're not there, it will be obvious -- look for us at the main gathering tent -- should be obvious where it is....its on the website I sent earlier

Dayum! Love me some dutch oven cooking cowboy style...
    Mouth watering here.

I'm here to testify that yes, praise jesus and pass the beans, that yes you can cook with a dutch oven (I use the slightly smaller lodge single handle with the skillet top, that nests nicely in the CO skillet slot under galley top right side.).

    Glamp on, and boy howdy!

Our diet is primarily Keto, with a lot of cheating lately. Sadly --- throwing a steak on the grill is as close as wet get to cowboy cooking --- which isn't bad. But it has gotten very expensive.

Thinking maybe look at cowboy kent and his sloppy joes this weekend....that was a great suggestion.

@Corbin, Saturday is a pitch in -- 10 times out of 10 there is more food than people....plan on coming back :) These gatherings are really a good time. There is an Ohio and Kentucky chapter as well....

    Sweeney,

We (umm, our friends) have moved around schedules this weekend to free up time to visit site 221 (and hopefully others) early Saturday afternoon instead of Friday. We’ll skip Cowboy Kent’s goodness but definitely worth a try in the future.

    Cheers!

I'm cheap out on sloppy joes --- just chili and from a mix. :( I ran out of time. No worries...see you Saturday.

There's a local restaurant called the "Liberty Bell" in the town. They've got AYCE perch on Friday...or I think that's what the sign says as I passed through.

Whitewater park is a little difficult to navigate -- get a map. I don't have the schedule, but the pot-luck is around 5 or 6, if all the teardrop sites seem empty that's where we are :D

Thank you for all the tips!! We'll need to go pick up my parents from the airport so won't be able to stay out too late but hoping Saturday 1ish - 4ish everybody has some down time to talk and be so kind to show us their trailers.

We appreciate it that you're willing to show us your 560, I hope you don't mind if we come armed with questions about it :)

    Cheers!
