Hypervent Vs Froli

We have the Froli system. I was unhappy when I realized the couch would not stay in the pulled forward mode because the Froli increased the height of the mattress. This summer we removed the first row of the Froli, the row that is under our heads, this allowed us to push the mattress down enough when we wanted to pull the couch forward. My husband and I are both short, less than 5ft 5in so this may not work for everyone. We did not notice any difference in how comfortable our heads were during sleeping.

Knowing that the comfort of the bed can make or break the camping/outdoor experience, the Froli system is very intriguing to us and appears to be a brilliant idea. Being new to Camp-Inn trailers, what type of mattress is supplied with a new/used trailer and is it adequate when used with the Froli system or is there an additional mattress topper or different mattress recommended?

    Cheers!

I think sleeping comfort is different for each individual. We put the Froli in our 550 and also added a one inch topper. Several YouTubers offer discount codes for Froli. I will say our mattress was over eight years old when making the move to Froli. On our new 560, we’re going with a two inch topper and Den-Dry under the mattress. Den-Dry is much like hypervent for preventing condensation under the mattress.

I installed Froli under standard Camp Inn Mattress on my 560 a few years ago. No topper. My sleep is perfect there - rivaling many $$$ memory foam mattresses at home, over the years.

There is no "extra" room in the foot box, but I can sleep without making contact (after a few nights training ;)

I got a new factory mattress on my used CI and put hypervent under- good enough for me, but then also tried a 5" memory mattress in tri-fold (forget which but one of the brands mentioned in past threads) for Dear Wifes back...better but cramped in the foot well, and while more comfy is too soft not enough support for me...

    Froli makes a low-rise version.
    Anyone try that?

Personally I am very happy with the OEM mattress and Froli system. Plenty of room in the foot well.
