Here is a question for a savvy Camp Inn historian.

    1. Does anyone know which trailer number was the first one produced using the Laguna?
    2. How many 550's have been produced w/o the front windows?
    3. How many 500?
    550 base?
    550 Special?
    550 Classic?
    550 Ultra?
    560 Classic?
    560 Ultra?
    4. How many Camp Inn's were wood sides?
    5. What was the first year for the 560 Raindrop?
    6. How many Camp Inn's were produced with stainless steel?
    7. What year had the highest prodcution?
    8. How many Camp Inn's were produced in Titanium?
    9. How many Camp Inn's have aluminum frames?

    Hmmm...

AND... What is number 1,000? Has anybody seen it yet? Is it the one we see in Cosmo's recent tour with the rounded cabinetry that the guys say will never be done again? Those of us with inquiring minds need to know!

The cabinetry with the art deco look (curves) was #500..my educated guess on trailer #1,000 is that it was built the end of 2018 to 2019- "ish".

    Better yet, what's a Laguna?

It is a CNC router machine. Quite a nice unit I must say. Certainly helps with consistent edges.

There are 3 of us who know these answers...but no one has asked about the 400 and 450 models...

All of these and more secrets are locked in the Camp-Inn vault buried deep within an undisclosed location with access only through iris and fingerprint recognition and a photo of the elusive Maytag washer & dryer.

I will spill the beans about a few (not so secret) secrets.

First Raindrop was 2005 #87 built for one of our employees at the time, who came to be known as Raindrop Joe. He still has it and if you come to the CICO, he usually brings it. You may know him as Pizza Joe, as he is the one who, along with his wife, Karen, makes the brick oven fired pizzas for Friday night.

Joe's Raindrop made it's debut at the 1st Biennial International Teardrop Gathering (ITG) in Minden, NE in 2005. Interest took off like a teardrop out of the Camp-Inn factory, making it an immediate hit and earning its place in the production line up.

    Stainless steel sides - only 2...an early 550 and the one-of-a-kind #560.

No units have been produced in titanium

No units have been built with aluminum frames.

Now, a few "food for thought" questions...

    What about the unit(s) that:

...have been built for very well known individuals?
    ...have been shipped overseas?
    ...are no longer in existence?
...was built for a subsidiary of Pepsi Co for a contest that never materialized?
...that had a removable sink and stove, as well as an undercounter drawer for kitchen storage? (Hint: There are two of them.)

And finally...what is the name of the international magazine (including month and year) that Camp-Inn was listed as one of the best things in America?

I’ve seen pictures of Thomas Dolby’s “Time Capsule” Camp Inn… but I think it was sold and de-customized to something like stock condition, somebody just wanted to camp! Imagine that…

Dolby is famous to some of us, having made a splash as a techno-pop musician (she blinded me with science), and continues in a long career as a musician and film composer.

I know the longhorn CI bit the dust with the longhorns being sent back to the factory where I believe they are hanging somewhere?

I think Cary told me about the overseas one but I can't recall the story.

I'd be curious about the "well know" individuals.

Yes, that is one of them. And the longhorns are hanging on the wall in the CI showroom at the factory.

There is more than one overseas. :)
