I Married Mrs Macgyver

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Warren Mary Ellen, Nov 7, 2021.

  1. I married Mrs Macgyver. We knew the fiberglass pole on our side tent was in its death throes, but when we arrived at the campsite Friday afternoon it was obvious it was not going to work. Some Ducktape, & a couple of plastic eating utensils and Mary Ellen made it the two nights we were camping. (See pic). It wasn’t pretty & luckily we didn’t have any rain to see how strong really was. Now we need to get a new pole.

LOL, we had to do a similar when we went to the UP in mid October. We used duct tap and zip ties to try and repair the failed fiberglass support. But heck, it held up the side tent (we did NOT put the rain fly over).

  3. That was us, no rain fly needed so we didn’t fool with it. Not sure it would have held up to much rain so thankfully we didn’t need it.
