    ALL,
It has been some time since my last Post but I have been trying to find out on how to keep my CI looking NEW as the day we bought it.

So I'm in the middle of a Experiment( NOW )!!! Thanks to Cary at Camp-Inn for supplying the Alum that is used on ALL CI Trailers. The Test results wont be done for weeks and I told Cary at Camp-Inn he will recieve the results & Pictures

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CI EXPERIMNET !!!

What has been done so far ???

    1. Carry sent samples of the Aluminum
    2. chemical has been recieved
    3. Prep in process
    4. results to come

I know ALMOST everyone would like to keep there CI exterior in New condition and protect the outside from the elements so I took it upon myself to do this experiment this doesn't include the use of using Walbernize or Woodys wax. I have done extensive research including getting information about Alcola Aluminum the people who make the aluminum and the Protective Product. This experiment if applied and followed by the MFG of the product will outlast any other coating on the market. They have proved it NOT ME I just want my CI to stay (NEW) looking all the time with little or no major work to be done for years only to re apply the product every 2-3 yrs depending on where you keep your CI.

So I will keep in touch.

Sounds like a cool thing to do Dave. Be sure and test it with a couple of months summer sun, ocean salt spray and 1,000 miles being pulled in the rain like I did with my testing. I found out that out on the deck for a few weeks only told part of the story.

    All,
Yes,I will in time let everyone know what I,m using.I want to complete my testing first.I spoke to the owner of the company of the product that I'am using and upon my results wether good or bad he will be able to answer any questions that all may have. I will try to do my best to follow there Instructions. The company is also sending me some of there samples that they have preformed they have been doing this for over 40+ years compaired to me trying to excellerate the process ( I dont want anyone to prematuraly make a decision ).

    Hilditch,
Yes there will be road testing with the samples. I have a friend that travels approx 800 miles a wk from here in CT to north in maine and south (Insurance claims adjuster cars, trucks, boats, exc) and samples from the mfg.Samples are being sent out to other companies for salt spraying exc.

    THANKS

    Well Dave and Linda

Sounds like you have the test part well in hand. We all will be interested in the results when they are done. What is your time frame for completion ? My tear is 4 years along now so another year wont hurt.

    Todd,
I could make this experiment go for years but I'am not.
what I'am trying to do is speed up the process I want to be completed by the time I get my 560 that should be around December time frame. One part sample has been sent to the MFG and the others are also out. (1) salt spray test (1) on the road (1) hard water & (1) heat ,That brings up a GOOD question that I have for the MFG what about a CI that has been out in the weather ?? and I will ask that. What can be done ??. what I know so far whatever that has been applied has to come off Walbernize and wax exc, For some owners this may be labor intensive but I'am hoping after all this the outcome will be worth the time.
