Two months ago, I met Joan in Beaverton to buy the 560 Ultra #445, "Far Fars". Hitched up to my 2013 TDI Sportwagen, she became my primary residence.

#445 is called "Lyra" now, after the constellation and the character from Philip Pullman's wonderful "His Dark Materials" trilogy.

My traveling companion & I are keeping a Ship's Log of our travels as well as a photo album.

Excerpted photos from some of our stops so far:
    - Port Townsend, WA: looking 200ft down into a clear Pacific Ocean at Lands End
    - South Beach Campground, WA: playing some banjo out of the rain and wonderful sunsets
    - Olympic NP, WA: lunch at Blue Glacier and enormous Sitka spruce trees
    - Hood Canal Bridge, WA: waiting for a tugboat to pass
    - Windward Institute / Herland Forest, WA: a lovely HipCamp with a fascinating history (but I only have pictures of our rig, go figure)
    - Haystack Reservoir, OR: beautiful evenings at a waterside campsite
    - Prineville, OR: Kayaking the reservoir
    - Burns, OR: Our first dry camp on BLM desert
    - Page Springs, OR: Don't leave your fridge out overnight (all the little visitor ate was half a bag of marshmallows, but we've learned our lesson)
    - Steens Mountain, OR: a very smoky visit to the Kiger Gorge and views of Wild Horse Lake from the summit

I am thankful to be part of this community. The camper itself is a joy, the forum archive has been a great source of information, and Camp-Inn has been incredibly forthcoming with help and advice over the phone (thanks Cary!).

    So, hello to you all!

Beautiful pictures, looks like you are both having a great time. I'm not far from that area and will have to explore some of those sites and will definitely be following your ships log
