Just got back from 5 nights in the Sierras at Four Jeffries Campground above Bishop, CA, South Lake area. This is one of the alpine lakes we hiked too. Great fly fishing and nice campground surrounded by Aspens and a trout stream flowing through it.

Don't you worry about copyright infringement when you submit a commercial postcard?;)

Randy, IMG_1607.JPG IMG_1604.JPG we were just camping at Saddlebag Lake last week in the high Sierra. Absolutely loved it. Great fly fishing above 10000' elevation. Got into some fun brookie action but didn't land any goldens. Would love to find places closer to get out and fly fish more local to the Ventura County area. IMG_1607.JPG

Great pictures, thanks for sharing, can't wait to go back. Caught some nice stock rainbows too right in camp but love those native Brooke's and browns! Never caught a golden before, it's is on my must do list!

Will have to check out Saddleback Lake. What campground did you stay at? Let's hope for another great snowpack this year!

Beautiful fish! There's nothing like the high sierra.

Saddlebag is 3 miles up a dirt road off the Tioga Pass, 2 miles from the entry to Yosemite. We stayed at the Saddlebag group campground which is reservable. The rest of the the campsites are first come first serve.
