After 2 years of frequent use, the kitchen table and galley had some scratches, wear marks, etc. So after talking with Cary about how best to clean up, we picked up some Bar Keepers Friend and some steel wool. Valerie spent some time while watching TV to clean up the table. The results speak for themselves...

The side she cleaned up was actually worse than the image shown here.

Here is the after (about 30 mins)

This stuff works really well. Now to do the other side and then the rest of the galley. Will post before and after pictures once completed.

I've had my 550 since June and my table looks like yours (counter tops are worse)! I've been thinking about the BKF & steel wool this winter, but I was kind of afraid - thanks for the encouragement!

    Jay and Valerie,

Did you use any water with the Bar Keeper?

    Thanks

Wow--they look awesome. That always bothered me that they were so scratched and that happened right away. I didn't think there was anything you could do. I used Bon Ami but not with steel wool. I am so happy that our 560 went to such a good home.

Sorry, been traveling for work and just noticed this one.

No, we used the liquid version of BKF. Just squirt some on and hit it with the steel wool.
