I'm not a CampInn owner as of yet, but I'm certainly intrigued. We currently own a Little Guy 4'wide Retro. Yes, I've been bitten by the teardrop bug. Looking to upgrade to a 5' for a little extra room. I'm certainly impressed with the glowing reviews the Camp Inn receives. I'm still in my fact gathering mission, but would love to see one in person, maybe a trip to Wisconsin is in my future. I must say, I do feel like I'm cheating on the Little Guy though.
Hi JodyLee, Let just say this, I too am a wanna beeee, and the biggest mistake I made was going to see one. Especially the model that I want. Now I am blinded, I don't see anything else that is going to make me happy. At least b4 I saw it, I was able to reconcile my delay with doubt. Now I have to do something to put my mind at ease. I even put my other campers on the maarket today! When they are sold, Camp=Inn will have a permanent resident watching his baby being built.(I promise to stay out of the way). JodyLee, My wife is from Elwood. NE of Indy. If you have not seen a Camp-Inn before long, we are planning a trip to Brown County. We will join her sister and husband in the next couple of months....Labor Day maybe. I will let you know. Also, tell us about your Little Guy. What are the upsides, what are the downsides to the Little Guy? I looked at teardrops about a year before I bid one a new Camp-Inn on Ebay. We bid quite abit site unseen. The reserve was never met, but I had contacted Camp-Inn with questions. Talking to Cary and Craig, they were like, we are here if you need anything just give us a call. No pressure, no blind follow up. I liked that. Before long I ask if there was a unit in Middle TN we could see....After we saw one, we ordered within about 2 weeks. But I have no familiarity with any other brand. I can tell you about a good tent. We were tent campers before we were teardroppers. But either way, Welcome.
I think most people will tell you that the Camp-Inn is the best teardrop made. Expensive, to be sure - but worth every dollar in quality, value, and service. We have no regrets. I certainly recommend taking a look at one in person - worth 1,000 hours of surfing the web. Give Cary a call and he can hook you up with someone in your area. But make sure you're ready first, because, like George said, once you look in Pandora's box there's no going back.
Our camping career began with tents (all sizes) to Pop ups (all sizes) to class C, back to tents. The teardrop research I did made it seem like the perfect solution, and it is. We bought a used Little Guy that was part of the Gander Mountain product they made. It came to us with no galley storage just plywood, but we've turned it in to quite a looker. The product is good there are things I don't particularly like like the galley areas. Our main reason was price for buying the unit we did, so got some savin to do before we buy anything else. Please keep me updated about the Brown County thing would love to see one in person.
Yes I've done the tour, looked at the photos, reading all the blogs, which is why My husband feels I'm obsessed with the CampInn. I think my enthusiasm has rubbed off on him a little bit.
Welcome JodyLee, Oh yes, it took me only an instant to realize Camp-Inn was different. I played around online for months, obsession comes quickly as you know. Then I called Cary. He told me there was this guy....he lived in my little town....he had the same model I wanted.....I could go look at it..... Well, the next day I looked and the day after I ordered my Raindrop. I mean, after all, If a power greater than I set the stage for me to find, lust after and purchase this little swiss knife of trailers who would I be to question the fates? Life is good, Kent
We were thinking of a teardrop. I did research and figured Camp Inn was what I wanted. Luckily the Lake Perris gathering is 15 miles from my house and several builders had teardrops there. We saw Little Guy, SoCal (which is 30 miles -and I had hopes it mIght be better in person than on the web) and Camp Inn, as well as home builds, plans and guys who would build a one-off for you. I did not let Tim what I thought from all my research. I let him look unbiased. After Skip and Diane's tour of their Camp Inn, He said "that's the one" and we never looked back.
Welcome JodyLee, In January we were searching for a new RV and fortunately stumbled upon teardrops. Like many other reports, we ended up buying a Camp-Inn within a week of seeing one. Best of luck with your decision!

Steve & Ellen, 550 Base but with many extra's. Sort of a custom job. Still working on the details with Cary. Camp Inn is very accommodating when it comes to options/accessories. Delivery is due in August, can't wait. As a long time tent camper, 45 yrs plus, it will be nice to sleep up off the ground for a change. Have enjoyed your posts and all others on the forum. J&B

J&B, Where in NH are you located? I am from NH, born in Exeter, raised in Sandown. Live in WI now (for 19 years). It's the first place I've lived in the past 39 years that doesn't make me homesick in the fall. Although they do sorely lack for good seafood & an ocean (Lake Michigan on a stormy day & Lake Superior anytime are a good substitute but they just don't smell the same.). You can take the gal out of New England but you can't take New England out of the gal
First a tent and 4 kids, then a pop-up, same 4 kids, RV 5th wheel, just us retirees (living in it,) now a time for us to travel - in our Raindrop! I researched long and hard, stumbled on the Camp Inn folks, called Cary, he told us of one 5 hrs. away 2 yrs. ago. We drove over for the weekend, saw it and drooled for almost 2 yrs. Finally bought one a couple of weeks ago and waiting on delivery sometime in March WE HOPE- trucking issues....You can't go wrong with a great Swiss Knife!
