Not sure if this is the best price out there, but I just found the Eureka Northern Breeze Shelter on-line for $379.95 and the snap in floor was $46.95 - free shipping.

May I ask, how many extra poles and stakes have you bought for the Northern Breeze, or do you find what comes with it works just fine?

    Hi Beverly

We broke a main tent pole in gale force winds so it might be a good idea to have an extra of those, we don't have extra awning poles, haven't needed extra of those yet, we have the floor too but have never used it for what that's worth. The price seems very good, I'd go for it.

    Beverly,

That's a decent price for the Northern Breeze shelter. Can you please provide info regarding the seller?

    Thanks,

    Eric

I love my Northern Breeze. Believe it came with awning poles, which I have never used. Nor, do I have the snap in floor, which I would personally never use.

That is where we got ours, same price, and with free shipping. That was about 4 years ago. Steve

We did not get awning poles with ours but have since bought some - have not used them yet. We have the floor we have only used it once when the campground was very muddy. It worked well. We just packed the muddy thing up in a plastic bag and hosed it off at home. We keep it in one of the bins under the mattress so it is not a bother to carry. It is heavy and durable.

When I go to that web site I get a price of $439.00 same as everywhere. Is there a coupon?

We bought our NB from domsoutdoor.com, they have 10 percent off sales often so we waited for the sale price of 400 bucks.

We really like the NB. We just spent 2 months in FL where we used the awnings for both rain and sun protection. If we're staying at a site for more than a few of days, our standard setup is to have 3 awnings up. One awning goes over the trailer, covering both doors, keeping rain out of the fan, and keeping the sun off of the roof. We use adjustable poles here and set the the heights to facilitate water runoff. One awning goes up in the back to create a nice "patio" space. The poles that came with the NB go here. And we use one awning on the side to cover the gear bins that travel in the cabin when traveling. These are adjusted very low to cover a picnic table with the gear on it, or to keep sun off of that side of the living space.

The NB comes with 3 poles: one 7' and two 6'. The 7' pole is intended to prop up the center of an awning, with the two 6'ers on the sides. For our needs, we needed 6 more ADJUSTABLE poles. We found 2 poles at a Walmart in Cocoa, FL., ordered 3 more online from Cabela's, and resorted to a re-purposed mop handle for the last one. It is hard to find replacement poles in retail stores other than Cabela's, but you can get them online.

Here are some pics of our setup in the FL Keys, where we stayed for a week. (after these pics were taken we got the mop handle for the middle of the side awning and switched around the adjustable poles in the front.) As you can see, we were at a commercial RV park. We got a lot of friendly comments about the "Taj Mahal" we set up.

Great photos. Have been holding off on buying the NB as my trailer won't be done until August but you have inspired me to go ahead an get it. I'll play around with different configurations in the back yard.

Below is part of my receipt from the vendor. It was on sale, but I didn't recall seeing anything about an ending date. I received a prompt e-mail notifying me the order had shipped. I'm wondering, if you called and asked them to honor the pricing if they would be able to do that for you (worth a try). For the price, I went ahead and got the floor.

I wanted to get additional tent/shelter stakes and read very good reviews on Groundhog Tent Stakes, so I ordered a pack (8 to a pack)and they were delivered today. I think they are going to work out well - aluminum with a Y-beam construction.

I'm glad to see it was back on sale. I received my delivery yesterday - well packaged - no set-up instructions, unless the instructions are deep within the folds. I know set-up instructions will be on-line, but if anyone has any hints they have found to make set-up by themselves easier, please share with those of us that just purchased. Thanks.

    Beverly,

    A couple questions:
Will there be one or two people setting up the NB?

First practice at home setting it up. You can set it up at the campground first time which is entertaining for those around you.

    http://store.eurekatent.com/media/document/NORTHERNBREEZE08IM.pdf

    If one person:
    Two methods:

    Lay NB out flat
    assemply poles
    Place poles in center hub
insert the proper corner ring & pin into the bottom pole section.
Run around like a mad women attaching poles to roof clips.
Yes, it is a balancing act till to boles stand upright looking like a set of spider legs.
The tent raising continues. Attach the roof clips as you raise one of the legs.
After tent is standing attach side wall clips to poles.

Walla, the tent is now up.

Either recruit local young helpers to move tent over teardrop or back teardrop into tent.

    Second method:
Park teardrop in desired camping spot.
    Drape NB over teardrop.
    Assempy poles
    Attach poles to center hub
    Attach roof clips
Attach corner ring pin into pole bottom.
Tent stand up as you run around like a mad person chasing poles.
Finally after tent standing, attach side pole clips
    Adjust tent placement as needed.

Descriptions sound easy. Takes practice and humility.

    Good luck.

    Jean

Thanks for posting yesterday evening. Was able to put in an order for one at the lower price last night. Apparently they keep switching the price back and forth. So maybe it'll happen again.
