    Hi Everyone,

I may have met some of you at the Camp-Inn Camp-Outt in September. If I did please drop a comment and let me know who you are here so I can connect forum names with the faces I met in Mauston. Just wanted to say thanks again for all of the greetings and hospitality at the rally and that I'll be figuring my way around the forum in the coming days.

Hi Frank! Of course I remember you. Thanks for popping in!

SInce then I took the trailer camping in the UP for five days with Fred (my builder) Blog post link below. I titled this image "The good, the bad, and the ugly." LOL

Then I drove without the trailer to Toronto, Canada for five days, then back to pick up the trailer, back to WA to pick up my dog then home. The day after I returned home I attended a tiny trailer rally on Treasure Island in SF and spent one night on the island with 9 other teardrops. I blogged that rally here: http://theflirtyguide.blogspot.com/2013/10/nine-teardrops-and-tiny-travel-trailer.html

Here's a picture of us meeting up that morning:

A couple of weeks later I was covering an antiques and vintage fair at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds and was able to spend the night in the parking lot the evening before the event kicked off first thing Saturday morning. Haven't blogged that one yet but will soon.

I also took her out for a tv interview. Cary asked me to come post the link to the video here on the forum but I haven't been able to decide where would be the appropriate place to do that. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you Pat! I designed it, wanted to build it, took some welding and metal shop classes then convinced "Alaska Teardrop" (aka Fred) over on the TNTTT forum to let me hire him to do the build instead. Had I done the build it would have taken at least five years and several trips to the ER, I'm sure.

As detailed in the blog post about the rally I've had connections to Camp-Inn trailers since two nights after I left Michigan in June after picking up The Glampette in Michigan. So, it felt right to sign up for the CICO as the first rally the trailer and I attended together. So glad I went. It was a blast.

Hi Stacie, it was great to meet you, Fred, and the Glampette at cico.. Sherry here. And yep, I saw pics of my Silver Lily on your blog. And that wine of yours was delicious, I still remember it as really yummy.

Hi Sherry! I have to laugh because I've told several people I didn't drink two bottles of that wine by myself on the trip. . . I shared some with you. I didn't tell them you only had about a tablespoon. LOL Your Silver Lily was so cute! Thanks for letting me photograph it. It made it into the blog post and the tv interview! And thanks again for the loaner bath mats. They definitely came in handy.

Hi Susan. I have imagined what it would be like to have a Camp-Inn. Having been introduced to one up close and personal just days after I picked up The Glampette I'd have to say the bar has been set very high for me when it comes to quality tiny trailers. After the factory tour in Necedah even more so. Such an impressive company producing a truly high quality American made product. I'm happy to be a goodwill brand ambassador for Camp-Inn even though I don't own one. Yet :)

Thanks for the welcome Evan. I'll try to post that interview link sometime today.

Hi Anna & Steve. Well, I can't honestly say I remember exactly who you are. . . I met people by my trailer, by their trailers, in line for the potluck dinner, at dinner, outside the bathrooms. LOL There were a lot of people to meet! But I do know everyone I met was very nice which is a good problem to have overall, everyone so equally nice they all kind of blend into one big group of nice! Thanks for the welcome to the thread.

    Hi Stacie-

You didn't get to meet us, but welcome to the forum. We got held up in Oregon for CICO, but it wasn't all bad. We have a little one and school got in the way. It was a bummer as I was really hoping to go though. It sounds like everyone had a wonderful time. I will check out your blog when I have a chance. I took a quick peek at it, but ran out of time.

Thanks for posting on the forum here! Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Welcome Stacie! I am enjoying your posts and your blog and the video of your interview is delightful!
My husband and I got to chat with you a bit, at CICO, on the day you were leaving. You were parked near the bathhouse, probably trying to get on the road, until you were waylaid by some curious onlookers! You were, very graciously, giving tours and answering questions about the Glampette. Thanks again for the tour, by the way!!

    Safe travels, and happy camping!

Thank you Mick 'n Sarah and Jamie for the welcomes.

The CICO was a lot of fun, wish we could have met in person there but maybe next year?

Jamie I was happy to give the grand (30 second) tours of The Glampette :) We were a little late getting the factory tour that morning but just missed the first bit. Thanks for letting me know we chatted at the rally. I hope you had a fun and safe trip home.

Welcome to the forum Stacie! Sounds like you could be a Mary Jane fan? -- Peggy is, so I've heard about glamping. We didn't get to talk at CICO -- maybe next year. :)

    Hi Stacie
Susan and I also drove from the west coast (Port Townsend WA) to Toronto before picking up our new teardrop, it sounds like a tale of two teardrops!

    Welcome to the forum Stacie

Thank you Ken, Michael, and mariusz ania! I do hope to make it to the CICO next year. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will.

I am a Mary Jane fan Ken. Almost made it to her shop in Idaho this summer but ran out of time.

Michael that would have been really funny if I'd met you and Susan along the way from picking up your trailer like the new Camp-Inn owners I met in Kennebec South Dakota. Turned out we'd met here in the Bay Area over a decade ago. I used to shop in a store they owned, and there we met again in South Dakota! Small world :)

Seeing another teardrop in the wild is a rare event, We had our 1st event the day before yesterday at the Port St Joe Piggly Wiggly parking lot. A nice couple from North Carolina pulled up beside us towing a Little Guy, so we all hoped out for a chat. Fun huh! Heh Stacie you're on the left coast try to make the 4th annual NW roundup next summer and if so we'll meet you there.
