Update Today Was The Day....

#566 came home at last. After a sleepless night due to anticipation, we headed to Necedah to finally pick up our completed trailer. We were met by Craig and given such a detailed orientation our heads are still spinning. After sorting out a few accessories and making sure all was well with the tow vehicle we were given the green light. About 3 hrs later our "Treasure" was home. Thanks to all the wonderful people at Camp-Inn who made this possible!

We are so happy for you!! We got our #564 on January 29, 2013 at 7:55 am! Never will forget it! You will absolutely LOVE your "other" queen bed! Happy travels and burn some trails.

The antenna is part of a package of Jensen stereo equipment we had installed. There is an "under the counter" pod with a MSR3012 marine radio with speakers on the inside, Jensen HD 3.5" speakers in the galley, and a small "rubber ducky" antenna for the outside. Cary mentioned it was one of the few antennas that got reception inside their building. The "mouth" at the bottom of the pod is for ipod storage, as the radio is fully ipod compatible via a USB port or aux plug.

My 560 is #567 so your 550 #566 may have been my trailer's neighbor. My nest pictures show another 560 to the left viewed from hitch end and a pair of 550s to the right.

It is funny to look at your first picture and now know that the garage door behind your 550 doesn't go outside...

You had a bit shorter return trip than mine . I took the opportunity to make it a two week vacation, looping via KC to the Florida Keys for a while before coming up the east coast to Massachusetts. Go 201x Subaru Outbacks!

Yeah! Another happy family. They look sooooo pretty and shiny at the Mother Ship. Now it's time to get her all nice and dirty. Get on that road and start living!

We have stayed at Luna / White Deer and was very nice it was after Labor day weekend though and was not busy.

There are quite a few campsite in the forest that are single sites and some on lakes that is very private...

Do you have specific site numbers for the Luna-White Deer Lake campground you mentioned. I always find that helpful. We would love to be at some of those lakeside sites. Do you have any specifics you can share?

Sorry Deb I do not have specific campsite numbers.

Being a National Forest it is on a first come first serve basis. National Forest are "often" more primative campsites and more secluded.

If you copied the google map link of White Deer / Luna you will see Butternut Lake... Just to the east is Three John Lake just off National Forest Road 2140... There is ONE campsite on Three John Lake we tryed to camp there but it was being occupied so we traveled on to White Deer / Luna lake and got a site there. I believe there are about 35 sites there and about half are on White Deer / Luna... The White deer side was occupied so we set up camp just off Luna.

The funny story about Luna was the "SWAN" King of the Lake!! We had 2 golden retrievers that we had trained to fish, they would jump in the lake and search the shallows for fish. While setting up the tent I instucted Rhett and Zak (the goldens)to go fishing. Being good dogs off they went to go fishing as we set up camp and the tent etc... Well Rhett the one golden came running back up to the campsite and I heard squaking down at the Lake... Well Zak just loved to fish and there was no stopping him... here the Swan of the lake put his foot down and did not allow visitors to "His" lake. The Swan was flapping his wings trying to push Zak out of the Lake!! I then called Zak to come and here he come with white feathers all over him.. It was too funny.. That weekend was a challenge as everytime the dogs went down to the lake the swan started swimming over from the far side of the lake in attack mode...

Hi Ed,

Maiden voyage is 3 nights this weekend at Kohler State Park near Sheboygan for Cooler Near The Lake.

The Nicolet has been my stomping ground since I was a teen. My parents and Laurie & I both had cottages in the Nicolet. I've hunted, fished, camped & explored just about every part of the forest. Luna is one of our favorite parks. Bummer they did closed most of the smaller dispersed camping sites scattered around the forest.

This year we're aiming higher, as in farther north. We plan on exploring the Michigan UP from Detour Island to the Porcupine Mtns. We have only camped in the UP a few times and are looking forward to exploring a new area.

Duke, you and Laurie will enjoy the UP. Jerry and I sure did and the porcupine mtns are a spot we will get back to some day again!
