  1. TEARS BY THE RIVER 5

It's that time again....to start thinking about TBTR#6....

We will be hosting TBTR#6 on September 6-8th @ Thomson Causeway in Thomson, Ilinois. We can start booking after March 6th.we will be in the River Loop...

Thomson Causeway is run by the Core of Engineer on the Mississippi River. This campground fills up fast. The cost is still only $16 per night
(unless you have the Old Person's Card, then you get half price camping ;))

To see more about this park and/or reserve just go to:http://www.recreation.gov/ and type Thomson Causeway in the park or facility name.

    Woo Hoo!

Hard to believe it's time to be thinking about September!

Looking forward, as always, to this weekend...always a great time!

  3. Looks like campground is already full.

  4. Just looks like that due to not being able to post until March 6 this is what the site shows when I put in Sept 6 for 2 days of camping...

Arrival date may be beyond Reservation Window
•Select arrival date before Fri Aug 23 2013
•Come back on Wed Mar 06 2013 and try again

  5. I've marked the event on my calendar, and I've marked March 6th to register for a camp spot.

It looks to be about a 5 hour drive for me - that's how far I have to drive to hit some of my favorite places in the Upper Peninsula - so within my "paradigm" of what I am willing to drive for a weekend trip.

  10. Happy that you can join us Rick!
I have 7 sites that I know of but looks like 11 of the 20 are reserved alredy! We should pack the loop again this year with overflow up above in another loop :)
    tina

  11. Well this loop is now filled, only 4 sites we are not sure who are in them but hoping all teardrops or if not we'll invite them to join in activities as we have in past years. We are a friendly group.

We can always pack another loop if others want to join the festivities. :) The more the merrier!

  18. Sounds good to me Jenn...Dutch oven cooking is not a requirement :)

Just glad to see you can make it.

  19. I will bring something appetizer-ish for both nights. Not sure what, yet.
    See everyone soon!

  20. Thank you to all for making TBTR another successful gathering. We will be hosting again next year as consensus was favorable. :)

It was the hottest & most humid year yet but good times by all.

We had 8 states represented with Washington, Texas, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois.

Jenn and Rick it was nice to have you both make it this year, as to all our regulars :)
