I just received word that my 550 Ultra is on the production floor. Still waiting on the link to the pics to be sent but I'm all sorts of excited!
Now for the longest wait of your life It's worth it....welcome to the club. The key benefits include Gas stops that take an hour Thumbs up from strangers on the road Constant desire to be camping Better nights sleep than when your "at home"
Yeah, Daryl! Those pics seem to take forever. So exciting. Now let me add to that list: Hot coffee on a cold morning with no one in sight but the moose (unless you're me, of course). Kind strangers who become instant friends. Scenery for days and days and days. Pitch black nights turned to day by a sky full of stars. Your heart set free and your soul at peace. Camp On Sue
Thanks everyone, I love the list of benefits. Jenn, I did not get too crazy with the bells and whistles as the Ultra came standard with most everything I wanted. I did add the AC and the side tent plus the SUV option to bring it up to the right height for my Jeep. I've picked up some flannel bedding for the cabin and I have a cast iron griddle that should fit just right on the two burner stove. I'm expecting delivery sometime in January, I wanted to drive out and pick up personally but my ne t break won't be but a week in late March and I want to get out and about on my weekends now that I will be able to.
Congratulations! What Jeep do you have? Grand Cherokee? Be sure have have the correct height "drop" for your Jeep. If you have a Grand Cherokee, you need an 8 inch drop with a factory hitch. Good luck!
Thank you! I drive a Jeep Wrangler, from my measurements my hitch should be at just the right height.
You hit that on the nail. The very first day we got our 560 we only went about 25 miles to our campground, but before we got there we stopped for a bite to eat and when we came out there was a group of people standing around it. Hence our first tour.
Ken and Kathy we have a 2011 Grand Cherokee with a factory hitch and the SUV package on our 560 a 6" drop got us perfect.
Congratulations Daryl We got a peek at your trailer last week. Now please sing-a-long with Mr. Tom Petty : THE WAAAAAAITING IS THE HARDEST PART !
I was not able to make the trip to Necedah due to some other commitments during my winter break. My 550 is currently in transit... I am (im)patiently awaiting her arrival.... any day now.
Congratulations! Having just received mine I can tell you there is nothing like knowing your TD has arrived.
