Life In A Tear Drop

Love it when it rains as I sleep sooooo good in my 560. One thing I do when it rains is to put those clear shower caps that hotels gives you free, over my shoes. It keeps the rain off my shoes as well as the morning mist.

I've been copying what some here do- a clear plastic bin that slides under teardrop, but dont always need that much room, and this way its one less thing to drive off from camp forgotten...
"hey honey did you toss the shoe bin in?"...oops!

 

Same here. The cocoon effect I think. Its just so darned cozy....

 

I have the plastic shoe bin also. My night shoes go in the bin, the hiking boots are covered with shower caps.

 

I keep a pair of 'camp shoes', flat slides, in the front or back passenger seat of the car. I change out my day shoes at the car to the camp shoes. Getting into the trailer the camp shoes go into a flat box with a lid and that box fits into the footwell at the wall.

Agree, Rainy days/nights in a teardrop are the best! Now 40 mph winds with rain and hail and lightening is a pretty fun night as well!

 

Three summers ago I lived in my CI for a week parked in the garage because it was so hot. The CI has a/c and the house didn’t. I even brought the cat out complete with litter box.

Before I bought the CI I had a Little Guy and one year camped in it for seven months while volunteering at a state park. I had everything then including an office fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. It’s amazing how well setup I was.

 

I've become a big fan of Crocs. They are cheap, durable, comfortable, and don't mind getting soaked—great shower shoes. I find myself wearing them instead of my big-boy shoes more often than not, and I'm so embarrassed.

buy 1 size smaller than you usually wear....they run large.

If I'm set for a few days of dry out, its no big deal, as long as I am not under a tree. The only days I dislike are when I'm packing out and I'm wet....I HATE having to get home and unpack everything to dry
