I have both a 550 and a 560 and was wondering if I could get them keyed alike so one set would fit both.
I'd like one key to work on all doors, my wheel locks, my trailer hitch pin lock, my hitch protector lock, bike hitch lock, my... J/k. But, My key ring dont fit muh pockets.
I have mine on a cord attached to my belt loop. It fits in my pocket and the cord is long enough I can open the hatch and cabin door. It’s the only two keys on it. B5B5BB1E-D747-44C7-A955-2081FD7C026E by Tour 931 posted Oct 14, 2023 at 1:29 PM
Keys, Keys, and More Keys Keyed alike… I wouldn’t know. But I use a Keyport, see thread above. It’s been awhile, so it’s different now if you were to use this type. https://www.mykeyport.com/pages/slide-key-holder Even if you can’t get them keyed alike, I think you could have all 6 keys (3 each per camper) in one keyport.
Thanks SK...including the link to past thread. I was only partly joking around, and that discussion helped, with Cary's past input. I have tried a couple of the cheap bolted together copycats of the Keyport, and still end up with the various oddly shaped keys added separately. No faukt of CampInn, just a refection on all the various security things I've collected to keep the CI sorts safe while I'm away a bit...wheel locks, trailer hitch locks, accessory/bike hitch type of stuff. Too much stuff! But this looks supercool in its latest iteration. How has it held up over time for ya? I'd be a little nervous about the individual bits becoming disengaged under rough use, but if its held up over time I'm interested. I also like Tours simple camp "hack" on the galley and hatch which is 90% of the use, for me.
It has held up, and I have ‘version 2’, which is plastic housing. I see that v4 ‘only’ has 4 keyslots. But for me that would be ok. 3 ci keys, 1 master lock key for the hitch is what I normally use. v2 did have 6 ports for keys, but I see they opted for only 4 in latest version.
