I use the wrench that came with the CI. It’s not that much work.

 

If I don’t have neighbors I’ll use a small impact driver. With neighbors I’ll run the jack down by hand. For jacking the wheel off the ground I keep an 18” rachet.

 

I did that for a while --- the socket wrench takes less apace --- Actually, what I use this round is a ratcheting wrench....small, smaller than the factory jack handle. Eaiser to use too...

I"m dealing with family stuff as I said in an earlier post --- hope to be back in a couple days....

Until then everything is going as well as can be expected....

I crank it down with the wrench CI provided and finish getting it where I need it with a socket wrench. I got one that I keep in the camper just for this. I use the CI wrench to crank it up at the end of the trip.

 

The hand cranks are good for blister generation and not much more. a ratcheting wrench or socket is the way to go for my money. I like the ratcheting wrenches -- the space they take up a minimal. That is my #1 concern, followed only by weight...

Been going through the camper to get rid of unneeded items before we head out for 3 weeks. The last area to purge was the storage area underneath the mattress & we got that earlier today. While we have been doing this we’ve been cleaning too. Now we are ready to load so we can be ready to head out on Tuesday. Necedah or Bust!

 

When I return from a trip I always reset to have the basics already packed. All I need to throw in is food and clothes.

We do that too, but I knew we had accumulated extra stuff we didn't need. Too many cleaning products and quite a beer bottle collection too.

 

Low Humidity for my bike ride this morning. Not my normal ride that feels like I'm riding in a bowl of soup. Hoping it hangs around for at least one day for tomorrow's ride.

 

Raining this morning so no working in the yard. Good day to go antiquing.

 

Humidity is back & then some. Camper is packed with our gear.

Pack clothes this afternoon & go to a Robert Earl Keen concert tonight.

Tomorrow, check tire pressure, get food & coolers ready for Tuesday’s blast off.

 

Got the yard work done, going to do a bit of "spring cleaning" on the ol' 550 Ultra, the wife is going to Florida on Thursday for a week with a friend....I will have some alone time ......Maybe put a spit shine on this rascal ☺️

Man-o-man...did the rain come down for the past few days here

 

Campground mascot here in Cumberland Gap NP.

 

Ogema received 1.05” of rain in about 3 hours. The news reported two tornadoes that touched down.

 

That’s impressive, even by Northwest standards! It’s been a very wet Spring here, but it takes a day or two to see an inch of rain! Usually…

 

It was good timing because I just graded my driveway to make a turnaround and to make sure the concrete portion would drain. Sunshine for the next three days.

 

Man, o' Man! What a two weeks it has been. I'll update my counters, but added 11 nights....and even found 2 or 3 of them to be somewhat relaxing

My parents are in their 80s and having normal lifes problems. 30 years ago they bought a small 'modular' home on an acre and they did a great job up until recently, where things got out of hand. So they decided to move to be closer to me their primary care giver.

The firs tweek I was there, my view was from their driveway -- just doing small odd tasks, calling the realtor etc. The photos were taken on Friday morning....on Wednesday morning the movers showed up and had us on the truck. Everything dropped off --- now to continue unpacking.

Next trip....I dunno. But after this, I can say an Ozone generator WILL be put in the camper for a day or two of severe deotorization.

Pro tip: Ozone is not safe to breathe....but a small ozone generator locked inside the cabin for a day or two will nutraalize a lot of odors after a long trip. RV and Automotive dealers do this all the time with trade ins. The scent reminds me of the smell in the air after a good ligtning storm. A small ozone generator is well worth it around the house too if you have pets

Try to catch up here in the enxt few days...I've missed the comeradery.
