We have the larger one, and it is more than capable of doing the job. It can heat you out of there in short order if you don't have the thermostat set low enough. I wouldn't mind trying the smaller one out for a little extra space saving. We've never worried about it having it on the storage door/shelf overnight to keep it cozy on a cold MN night.

 

I also have a small USB fan that I run on low pointed at the ceiling in order to circulate the hot air.
